Yuji Itadori is a secondary school understudy with fantastic physicality, who lean towards his school's Occult Club over sports. Yuji is told by his withering granddad, to help other people and pass on encompassed by individuals, and his grandad kicks the bucket not long after. In the interim, Megumi Fushiguro, an understudy from Tokyo Metropolitan Magic Technical College, is entrusted with looking for a "Reviled Object", a finger of Ryomen Sukuna, a strong powerful beast, known as a "Revile". Megumi finds Yuji, having detected the finger's energy from him. The team understand that Yuji's Occult Club associates have the finger, and mean to eliminate a defensive seal on it. Doing as such draws in Curses, which assault them. Megumi connects with the Curses in fight, and Yuji, in the wake of reviewing his granddad's final words, goes along with him. As Megumi is overpowered by a Curse, Yuji eats the finger, trying to save Megumi. This makes Yuji be moved by Sukuna, who effectively annihilates the Curse, however means to go on a killing binge. Yuji effectively stifles Sukuna's ownership, yet Megumi pronounces that he has turned into a Curse, and gets ready to exorcize him.
